Tesla sponsors our battery!

We are very pleased to announce that Tesla Motors will sponsor our brand-new battery this 2022-2023 season! The ETR-08 prototype, to be presented in June 2023, will be the first car to use it. 

This is a brand-new battery design, for which Tesla will sponsor all the cells necessary to make it up. These are 18650 format cells, the same ones used in the first Tesla Model S. In addition, they may advise us on technical decisions and assess our designs. 

The American company opened a contest for Formula Student teams, in which they chose us after analyzing the battery engineering design of all participating teams. 

We are very grateful to be able to count on Tesla to continue developing our project. We are eager to see what this season holds for us, and we ambition for results to match the level of this new collaboration.
